RESULT: The first ground-up sustainable compliance program for any U.S. apparel company.
Preferential
Tariff Project
CHALLENGE: Lead the way on new tariff legislation supporting recycled and organic textiles.
SOLUTION: Gather industry partners, research tariff precedents, working group collaboration on text of legislation, Washington, D.C. outreach, identify sponsors and vote into law.
RESULT: Formation of the Preferential Tariff Project, an Apparel Industry Working Group tasked with formally presenting legislation to the U.S. Congress.
Slow Fashion
Brand Building
CHALLENGE: Ensure the brand integrity of client’s sustainability claims, bring into alignment all claims pertaining to consumer messaging and labeling for women’s slow fashion line.
SOLUTION: Establish Code of Conduct, map all preferred fibers, review chain of custody for product line.
RESULT: Second party verification of all client sustainability claims, online and print. Brand transparency strengthened.
Major Expansion of Sustainable Supply Chain
CHALLENGE: Legacy factories of leading eco outdoor brand reaches capacity, unable to meet projected growth scale.
SOLUTION: Identify and onboard seven new global factories including knits, wovens, denim and sweaters. All factories certified in compliance with the highest responsible standards.
RESULT: Improved lead times, better margins, more flexible capacity, while meeting the same high standards for social and environmental sustainability.
